Driving to California...

Remember these!? When we arrived at California, Monga got out her boxes of toys for the kids to play with...low and behold...they were Jason's old toys from when he was little. Can you believe these old sets compared to the new Little People play sets? It immediately took me back twenty years.

The barnyard

The airport

The parking garage!
We can all remember the elevator on the side that you wind up.

Beckam took all the toys out of the box and put himself inside it.

This was the second day of driving. We stopped in Vegas to sleep because we left so late the day before. This was my favorite part...when he fell asleep. ahhhhhhhh!

Ice cream cone #2 on the trip! We had to keep the kids occupied and this worked out well. But we also have to remember that driving TO california was with Grandma...driving HOME was with daddy. I don't think we stopped for ice cream once on the way home :)

Brooklyn chowed down the leftover pancakes from breakfast. At 3:00 that afternoon, she decided pancakes sounded pretty good- and she ate all of them.

This is Monga getting the computer ready to play DVD's- our saving grace for the journey!! What would we do without Finding Nemo!

Ice cream cone number one for her. We made a little pit-stop at McDonald's somewhere along the way and while everyone took a potty break, I got ice cream cones. But, I got little mini cones that were actually quite ridiculously small, but I figured it would be much cleaner for the car ride. So, when Monga came walking out and saw me holding these little pee-wee ice cream cones, she walked up to register and re-ordered. The kids ran to her as they saw her holding real-sized ice cream cones in hand! I shrugged my shoulders and downed the mini's myself.

Beckam- happy with his normal sized ice cream cone.

A storm was coming and it started getting pretty cloudy...and intensely windy. But, luckily we left Utah in time to miss it. By the time we left Vegas the next day, we heard it snowed and stormed in Utah pretty badly. I couldn't wait to get to California!
