To the Playground!

Beckam wouldn't let me help him at all on the slide. He would push me away and just go for it. Brooklyn would slide head first, so Beckam tried and I threw my camera to catch him just in time before he face planted into the ice below.

Brooklyn being a sweet big sister, waiting for her brother at the bottom of the slide with open arms!

Brooklyn giving Beckam final instructions on how to go down the slide just like her. Beckam's response: "O-tay!"

How does that taste?

There is only so much cabin-fever one can handle! We just had to get outside to playground. It felt really nice actually because the sun was out and no clouds were around to fight it off. It was pretty wet, we all went home soaked, but it was fun while it lasted.

Beckam wandered off down a hill. I couldn't see him anymore, but could hear him yelling "mama". So, I peeked over the hill and he was just laying there like this! He didn't want to use his hands to get himself up because the snow was so cold.

Snugglin' up together.

Beckam kept sliding down the slide that had the puddle of icy water at the bottom, of course. Then, he rolled down a muddy hill. He's such a boy!

One happy little snow angel!

Nail Painting Party!

Brooklyn's new favorite thing is to paint our nails...together! I HAVE to paint mine too or else it's just no fun. She looked at her nails all day and when she woke up the next morning, jumped on my bed, checked out my pink nails, looked at her pink nails, sighed, and said "wow mom, aren't our nails so beautiful!"

Showing off her proud pink fingers and toes!

yeah, don't look too close, I stink at painting nails- but I do it anyway!

Brooklyn's 1st Day of Preschool!

Brooklyn loved her first day of preschool in January. She couldn't wait to get in there and start learning, playing, and dancing!

I love this picture because it is a snapshot of my first day of kindergarten when I was little. She walked to the carpet, stepped on the edge, and just stopped right in her tracks as she watched all the kids who were already there playing. She is such a cautious little girl, I had to laugh and take a picture!

Brooklyn and I were taking a picture, and her little classmate walked right in. Hey, the more the merrier!

...But I still had to sneak of just the two of us.

Right before we left the house. This is the typical, in-front-of-the-door pictures. Doesn't she just look so exited!

Meeting the Fiance

Nicole, Jill, Melissa, me, little Brooklyn

We all went out to dinner in honor of melissa's engagement. We all met Melissa's fiance for the first time.
Congratulations to Dave and Melissa!!

Nicole and I

The waiter singing to Melissa for her birthday. That guy had some lungs, it was loud and very powerful. Very good, but very loud. So the fact that he is standing directly behind her says a lot about her not covering her ears.

New Year's!

Brooklyn and friend

Beckam and other friend... or girlfriend I should say. He followed her around all night giving her hugs and kisses.

.

We rang in the new year with our good friends, Adam and Aubrey (and their little girls). We hung out playing games all night...or trying to play games in between running after our kids, changing diapers, and putting them to bed...whew! When the house was finally quiet, and the little ones were asleep, we all watched a movie, then paused it to have sparkling cider and of course kiss our spouses! smooch!
Not wanting to wake up their kids, and out of total exhaustion, they slept over. Tons of fun!
