Monga and Papa's Playground

The first thing the kid's wanted to do when we got there was jump in the swimming pool. We we're kind of busy getting stuff ready for the reception, so for two days I told them no. So, finally on the third day, we were outside, and Brooklyn had stripped down to her bare bumb and sat right down in the spa. And because the "monkey see, monkey do" rule definitely applies in my family, Beckam followed suit.
I yelled to Brooklyn, as I was running over to them before they drowned, "what are you doing?" Brooklyn just calmly replied "it's time to say yes."

The second thing Brooklyn wanted to do was see her friend, Sydney.
Both of their grandma's live down the street from each other, so fortunately, Sydney was able to go to her grandma's house at the same time Brooklyn was at her grandma's!
The above picture is Brooklyn ready and anxious to go see Sydney.

Brooklyn practicing her "ballet"...the triangle at the top is her own interpretation of hand placement.

This little pose has Brooklyn written all over it.

As for Beckam...he's just off filling up his sister's bike with little keepsakes.

In case you can't tell, Brooklyn is refusing to do any dance moves for the camera, but little man isn't shy at all- probably because Brooklyn makes him dance with her all the time so he is used to being demanded to dance on the spot.

I was scrubbing patio furniture, helping Mike and Julie prepare for Steele's open house that weekend. I had a bucket of dirty, muddy water that I had been dipping my scrubber in and I turned around to do another dip- but it was occupied. My son was dipping his head in it and laughing. Like I said before...if it is dirty or dangerous, a little boy's just gotta be in it.

This is the view from Monga and Papa's new deck they just put in. When you climb up to it, you can oversee the whole yard. I guess I am one to really appreciate the joy of a beautiful backyard, so I had to take a picture of the view.

This is the new deck! This is a before picture instead of after, but they had turned it into a living room setting up there with lighting, furniture, and potted plants. It was Heavenly to say the least.
It's nice because in California you can actually keep patio furniture outside year-round and continue using the outdoor living spaces you might have. The only outdoor living you can do at home in the winter-time is shovel!

These are rock steps leading up to the deck. You can tell my kids enjoyed this part almost more than the deck. Brooklyn thinks this backyard is a fairytale garden. She runs around it, up and down it, and through it while singing at the top of her lungs! This whole yard is the greatest playground for my kids. It keeps them busy alllllllllll day.

He was just being cute so I had to snap a picture! :)
