Brooklyn's Pre-School Performance :)

This is the very funny preschool performance Brooklyn had in May.
We had been in California for 2 and a half weeks, so she missed a lot of the practices. Her performance was the day after we got home. I kept trying to prep her for it by saying, "Brooklyn, you get to get up on a stage with all your friends and sing all the cool songs you know- and mom's and dad's get to come cheer for you!" She always looked at me and said, "I don't want to do that, mom." She always knows what she wants and doesn't change her mind very easily. So, when she got up there, sure enough, she didn't want to do anything!

Here she is in her famous pose when she has unwanted attention on her. Finger's insert into mouth. She's so funny. Jason and I were in the audience trying to get her to smile or do something and she started getting teary-eyed, poor girl.

Still, fingers in the mouth!

This is where each child passed a flag around and when they received the flag they had to stand up, say their name, and say their favorite wild animal. When it got to Brooklyn Jason and I just looked at each other in fright not knowing if she was going to throw it and run to us or get upset. She held it for a second, took her fingers out of her mouth and said, "Hi, my name is Brooklyn, and my favorite wild animal is....(pause while she thinks about it...) a pig!" Then she quickly passed it off and sat down.
A pig! yuck! It's funny she said that because I have always told her pigs are gross. Hmmmmmmm. Oh well, I was just happy she stayed up there and stuck it out.
Yay Brooklyn!

Now here they are singing about having an animal hunt in the forest. All the kids were so into it...then there's little tiny Brooklyn who knew every song but wouldn't sing a note.
Of course later on that night she couldn't stop singing all the songs. Go figure!
