Cabo or Bust!

Here we are just arriving at LAX to fly out to our long-awaited destination- Cabo!
If I look like I was sad, however, it is because I was. It was so hard to say good-bye to my babies for a whole week. This is the first time we have left them for more than a day or two and I cried all the way to the airport. I told Jason through my sobs and tears that this vacation better be worth it...and it was definitely a needed vacation and totally worth it.

Let us just take you on a tour of our vacation...

I had to take a picture of the clouds underneath us. Doesn't it make you jealous of the Care Bears? If only you could really jump on the clouds.

Here we are dining our first night we arrived.

The kitchen in our room.

The dining area and family room.

Out on our deck where we ate our breakfast most of the time.

The Mexican Fiesta- a special dining experience put on by Cascadas Beach Grill (the restaurant at the resort). They had entertainers, delicious food, amazing service, and the perfect environment- out on the beach.
All the chef's came out to serve you the food in the buffet line. They were so sweet to let us take pictures of them- they would just smile and pose.

My favorite part- the desserts! I tried them all and liked them. Jason was a little more well-composed for this part than I was.

One of the entertainers came and got me out of the audience to dance with him. He didn't speak any English so we pretty much just smiled at each other and danced.

The end of the show. It was such a unique and fun dining experience there everyday. But I especially love Mexican Fiesta Night. We came to this exact place six years ago for our honeymoon, so everything was surreal for us- even Mexican Fiesta Night.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico- Fine Dining and Views

The view of the beach from our patio.

The rope separates the public and vendors from being able to enter the private beach. But anyone could enter to eat at the restaurant- which had the best food I have ever eaten by the way.

We were serenaded by this musical trio.

Such a beautiful night, we had to capture it.

And beautiful food so we had to capture it as well.

While we were eating a fire kid (for lack of a better name), performed a little fiery show for us. Then, everyone tips him and he moves on down the beach.
He was actually very talented. He threw this fire stick around, caught it, and played with it. It was pretty amazing.

We bought a doll for Brooklyn from this lady who just sits out on the sidewalk close to the market to sell her dolls. Just walking around the city made us grateful once again for the beautiful place we live in at home.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico- Dolphins & More

We went swimming with the Dolphins. Jason was sweet enough to come along with me on this one even though he has already done it. It is something I have always wanted to do and can now finally say I have done it! It was short, but very fun. The dolphin kissed me, danced with me, spit water on my face (ew!), and gave me a ride on his tummy. Our dolphins name was Monet and only spoke spanish. Monet was unfortunately not bilingual, but gave us a great time anyway.
We weren't allowed to take any pictures whatsoever (so you buy the ones they take of you for $250), so this was our only shot of a dolphin through a thick glass bubble.

This was as close as we could get with our cameras which doesn't even allow any dolphins to be seen. The water falling was their overflow water behind us.

Cabo Wabo and the Giggling Marlin are two famous spots in Cabo which we didn't care to attend to because our resort was so much more fun...and safe!

This was the bar area outside on our patio- it went completely unused of course but was still fun to have :)

Vendors on the beach walk up and down from sun-up to sun-down trying to sell you their products. You barter with them on price for things you want. Sometimes they budge and sometimes they are sticklers. They swarm to you if you even look at them. Then, there is the occasional drug offer very discretely. They aren't allowed to cross the private beach lines however, so if we stayed on the beach of our resort we felt safe with security all around.

Here I am just trying to buy a pretty swimsuit cover and this guy is trying to make me pay more money. He finally gave in and I ran back to safety...with my cover up :)

Dining on the beach- as we did every night.

This is one view of our deck with its private pool and spa. It was the most dreamy place to stay.
We would walk outside and just start melting like popsicles, so this pool came in handy when I would try to lay out and after only five minutes would end up in the pool.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico- Riding ATV's

After a 45 minute shuttle ride out to the boonies of Mexico, we are all geared up and ready to ride!

Here is an action shot of us riding on the smooth sandy beach. Jason was all about getting action shots so there are plenty of them on our ATV journey.

This is a gorgeous beach that we rode alongside of. The waves were huge and came crashing in spraying us with a little mist as we drove by. It was very welcome considering how stinking hot it was out there. It was such beautiful scenery though and well worth all the sweat to enjoy it.

Elvis, John Travolta, Corky...I don't know.

You can't tell so much in the picture, but we were high up on a cliff and this pole just happened to be sticking up out of the very edge with nothing supporting it on the other side. So, what does my monkey husband do?
He hangs off of it on the cliff side. See below.

This picture speaks for itself...wild and crazy water, but so amazing to watch!!!

action shot.

and another.

and one last one while we were heading back. The funny thing is we still smiled when posing for the pictures even though you could never see our mouths.

This was my first time experiencing ATV's. We were filthy dirty by the time the 4 hours were over, but it was much more fun than I thought it would be. I would highly recommend it. I felt like I was doing extremely well with my ATV and decided to go up a steep, sandy hill and stalled right in verticle position up the hill. That was scary, but I held on and kept the engine running until my tour guide could come save me. Whew!
