Beckam's Birthday #2

"Because good food and good company go hand in hand"

My sisters and mom came down for the birthday party- i just don't see them often enough and love every minute of it when we actually get the chance to be together.

Since Beckam has been so into Finding Nemo this year, I decided to make it his theme. He has loved this movie and I find him yelling "NO, Nemo- NO!" to himself when he is playing by himself.

Jaeli, Aliah, Draden, and Brooklyn: the clan that is inseperable when they are together. I love it!

All the kids gearing up to take a swing at the pinata.

The birthday boy took the first swing, gave a tap or two, then shared the bat with the next excited swinger.

Brooklyn hit it so gently and delicately- so funny. She's such a dainty little thing, yet fiercely feisty at the same time. I don't know how that works, but she makes me laugh.

Draden up to bat. He did a great job and got some good hits in.

I'm so glad Jason thinks he is so funny playing tricks on the kids!

Here is Nik who takes anything with a bat or a ball to the Nth degree- he is one kid who lives by the theme "play hard or go home" and is an amazing little athlete.

And of course he broke the one-eyed little fake Nemo pinata to bits. The kids went wild forming their own little piles of Nemo fruit snacks and candy.

Uncle Tyler, Papa, Uncle Mark, and Beckam

Papa and his siblings Shauna and Mark

Opening the presents was fun for Beckam this year- unlike last year. It was cute to see his reactions to things. When he opened clothes he handed it off to another kid saying "there ya go", but with toys he would look at them intently to figure out what it was supposed to do.

This was the highlight of the night- Buzz Lightyear- causing a few arguments to infinity and beyond with his best buddy, Jaden. It was rough for them to share with each other since Buzz is both of their favorite toys to play with.

This gift is from Aunt Sue, who always decorates the gift bag with the theme of the party she is attending. It was a never-ending bag of gifts. Thank you Aunt Sue and Uncle Ken for all your love and support!

The Nemo Birthday Cake. It turned out a little different than we had originally planned, but I was still very happy with it. Beckam loved it. The older kids were fighting over who gets to eat the eyeballs!

My crew of help and the ones who helped make it all possible.
Thanks so much!! It was a blast.

Blowing out the two little candles- he did it (with a big wish that his mommy will throw many more parties in the future).

Happy Birthday two year old! I can't believe my baby boy is 2 already. Thanks for all the joy and happiness you bring to our lives!!!!

The Rodeo

We went to the town rodeo with some friends and this is Beckam with their little 6 month old girl.
We've been making our way around to different rodeo's and summer festivities because that is what summer is all about to me. I love all the things going on all the time that gets us out of the house after a long winter!

Here's a little glimpse of the rodeo even though you can't see anything- we were right level with that white bar so this was our view almost the entire time. We still had fun though! Yee-ha!

Brooklyn taking pictures of us holding the camera up in the air.

The Kangaroo Zoo

Every mother knows this place well- The Kangaroo Zoo. All you have to do is say the words and your kids start smiling- definitely a happy place. This is one of Brooklyn's and Beckam's favorite places in the world at this point in their little lives.
Here is Beckam doing a risky tummy slide down the big slope!

...and Brooklyn's off making a mad dash up the ladder and through the maze of puffy vinyl.

Brooklyn's still on the go, but Beckam looks like he hit a slippery spot.

He makes falling down look fun- just get up and start jumping wherever you happened to land :)

And it looks like this little contestant peeked up over the wall of puff to give her mommy a winning smile.

A random little girl saw Beckam, picked him up and spent the rest of the day with him, taking him down everything his little heart desired. It was so cute and Beckam loved the attention I'd have to say.

Here he comes again- a little technique improvement this time, his little girlfriend was waiting at the bottom for him.

He is a good little climber, always trying to stay up with his big sister. Kids are so funny to watch at this place, it makes for good entertainment for moms, fun for the kids, and lots of soft cushion to land on!

Brooklyn the Wallflower

This is Brooklyn sitting in dance class...with all the parents along the wall!
She is such a good dancer, comes home and does all the moves almost perfectly. Her leaps are amazing! She actually picks up her feet, flies off the floor, and has pretty good technique too. But, in the classroom she refuses to perform. Her teacher was amazed to see that she could actually dance when all the kids left.
The class is a 3 month time period and it aint lookin' so hot :)

Celebrating Daddy-O!

This was somewhat of a weird day.
For Father's Day, we had a picnic all planned at Temple Square: we were going to eat at the park, stroll around Temple Square, Let the kids run and play, visit the visitor's Center, and enjoy the day with dad.
Well, it didn't exactly happen that way. We all ended up falling asleep on the couch after church...for 3 hours!! I have never taken a 3 hour nap in the middle of the day before. I was the first one awake and thought I would mozy into the kitchen to pack the lunches, but it was so late I didn't realize what time it was, but there was no longer time to make it up to Temple Square. So, our picnic ended up being outside on the lawn. Oh well, the kids were easy to please and it was a nice relaxing day for us!

We should look well-rested after such a hibernation of sleep- but I think we just look so tired!

To a wonderful dad of this little family I just have to say thanks for being such an incredibly hard working man of integrity! You are really an extraordinary person. Thanks for always helping when I need you without even having to ask for it and for being a loving father always making sacrifices on behalf of your family.
We love you! XOXO
